The Sanft & Southwell family opened Lunenburg County Winery on their commercial blueberry farm in 1993. It’s a lively, friendly winery located on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia, surrounded by Acadian forest on a glacial drumlin, shirted by the Lahave River near Indian Falls.

He is an invaluable, one-of-a-kind pioneer of Nova Scotia winemaking. Dan believes in 100% Nova Scotia-grown fruit and estate grape wines (100% Lunenburg County grapes).
