Press Release: Gillian Mainguy resigns her position as Executive Director
Wolfville, N.S. – The Winery Association of Nova Scotia (WANS) announced today that executive director, Gillian Mainguy, will resign her position as of August 18, 2017 to pursue other opportunities in the Nova Scotia wine industry.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to work for WANS over the past few years,” says Mainguy. “I can see great things ahead for Nova Scotia wine and wish the wineries all the best as they continue to grow the industry.”
Mainguy began working for WANS as their part-time manager in June 2014, and managed the association for two years in a part-time capacity. Her status switched to full-time in July 2016.
She was named executive director in March 2017.
“We thank Gillian Mainguy for her service to our association and its member wineries and wish her success in her future endeavours,” says Gerry McConnell, WANS interim chair and president.
The Winery Association of Nova Scotia will be posting a position for a new executive director in the coming weeks.
