CONTEST TERMS & CONDITIONS
Wine Growers Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation and other participating retail partners
Enter to win one of four exclusive tour packages from either Ambassatours GrayLine, Go North Tours, Magic Winery Bus or Grape Escapes. Wine Growers Nova Scotia will contact the winners by e-mail or by phone to confirm prize details with the winner, as further described below. Luckett Vineyards will never ask for personal information except for entrant legal name, email address, mailing address, telephone number and confirmation that you are a minimum of 19 years of age to participate.
1.1 To enter the Contest you must be of legal drinking age and be resident in Nova Scotia (the “Eligible Participants”). Eligibility is based on the residential address in the Contest entry ballot and written proof of such residential address will be required in order for the prize to be awarded.

1.4 Employees, directors and officers of Wine Growers Nova Scotia or the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) and any Wine Growers Nova Scotia or NSLC affiliate (as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act) and employees, directors and officers of their respective advertising and promotional agencies as well as the immediate family and household members with any of the foregoing are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
2.0 Contest Opening and Deadline
2.1 The Contest will begin on Monday, May 2nd 2022 at 12:01 AM ADT and end on Sunday, July 31st 2022 at 11:59 PM ADT (the “Contest Period”).
2.2 To be valid, entries must be received during the Contest Period.
2.3 Wine Growers Nova Scotia and the NSLC reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest for whatever reason, including should viruses, bugs, or other causes beyond the control of Wine Growers Nova Scotia or the NSLC corrupt the administration, security or proper administration of the Contest. Wine Growers Nova Scotia and the NSLC are not responsible for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunction or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Wine Growers Nova Scotia and the NSLC reserves the right to disqualify any individual who uses an automated entry process, otherwise tampers with the entry process or operation of the Contest or fails to otherwise comply with these Contest Rules.
3.0 Manner of Entry and Contest Entry Ballot
3.1 Eligible Participants may enter the Contest by completing a Contest Entry at winesofnovascotia.ca during the Contest Period.
3.2 Eligible Participants must provide:
- First and Last Name;
- Email Address;
- Residential Mailing Address; and
- Telephone Number
- Confirmation that they are 19+ years of age
3.3 Eligible Participants are required to complete all portions to enter the Contest.
3.4 As part of the Contest Entry, Eligible Participants acknowledge they have read and agree to these Contest Rules and Privacy Statement.
3.5 Eligible Participants may submit multiple entries during the Contest Period.
3.6 Eligible Participants who satisfy the foregoing conditions of entry into the Contest (the “Eligible Entries”) will be entered into a random draw.
3.7 Where entrants have provided their consent as part of the Contest Entry, Wine Growers Nova Scotia or the NSLC may also contact entrants via email for other promotional or marketing reasons.
3.9 The decisions of Wine Growers Nova Scotia and the NSLC are final and binding with regard to this Contest.
4.0 Random Draw
4.1 The random draw will be conducted on:
Thursday, August 11, 2022 at approximately 1 p.m. ADT
4.2 One (1) Eligible Contest Entry will be randomly drawn from Eligible Entries on the above date.
4.3 The winner, as selected above, will be notified by e-mail and/or by telephone within three (3) business days.
4.4 Winners will be announced on social media by first name only and location.
5.0 Prize and Odds of Winning
5.1 Odds of winning depend on the number of Eligible Entries received during the Contest Period.
5.2 The prize is non-refundable and has no cash surrender value and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions.
5.3 In order to claim a prize, the selected winner must have correctly answered an unaided, time-limited mathematical skill-testing question. The winner must provide written proof regarding his/her residential address in order to claim a prize.
5.4 In the event a prize is not accepted or claimed within one (1) week of Wine Growers Nova Scotia notifying the winner by e-mail and by phone, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and Wine Growers Nova Scotia, and the NSLC reserve the right to award the unclaimed prize to another randomly chosen Eligible Entrant.
6.0 Limitation of Liability
6.1 Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), Wine Growers Nova Scotia, its related entities and their officers, employees and agents, exclude all liability (including, but not limited to, from negligence), for any personal injury or death; or any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Contest, including, but not limited to, where arising out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Wine Growers Nova Scotia’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by Luckett Vineyards) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Wine Growers Nova Scotia; (d) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (e) redemption of the prizes; and/or (f) participation in the Contest.
6.2 Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), the NSLC, its related entities and their officers, employees and agents, exclude all liability (including, but not limited to, from negligence), for any personal injury or death; or any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Contest, including, but not limited to, where arising out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the NSLC’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the NSLC) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the NSLC; (d) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (e) redemption of the prizes; and/or (f) participation in the Contest.
6.4 If Wine Growers Nova Scotia or the NSLC, in their absolute discretion, considers an entry to be in violation of any laws, Wine Growers Nova Scotia and the NSLC may report the entrant to the appropriate law enforcement authority and the entrant will have no claim against Luckett Vineyards or the NSLC, including for any loss or damage it may suffer as a result.
7.1 Wine Growers Nova Scotia is not responsible for any taxes owing by any winner of any prize resulting from winning the Contest, if any.
8.1 Failure by Wine Growers Nova Scotia to enforce any of their rights at any time does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Participation in the Contest constitutes consent to the Sponsor’s collection, use and disclosure of personal information as provided for in these Rules and handled in a manner consistent with the Privacy Statement below.
Wine Growers Nova Scotia and the NSLC are committed to protecting users’ confidential information. This privacy statement (the “Privacy Statement”) sets out the information gathering and dissemination practices for the Contest. By providing an contest entry ballot, you are consenting to this Privacy Statement and the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information to Wine Growers Nova Scotia and the NSLC as outlined in this Privacy Statement. If this Privacy Statement is not acceptable to you, please do not submit any of your personal information. Your submission of information will be deemed your conclusive acceptance of the Privacy Statement.
Collecting, Using and Disclosing Information:
This Privacy Statement describes our practices, regarding the collection, use and disclosure of the information that we collect about you in the contest entry ballot. We may collect this information when you visit the website, fill out ballots, when you e-mail us with general inquiries or with your comments or suggestions, or otherwise in general connection with the Contest. We will limit the information we collect to what we need for the purposes for which it was collected. If we wish to use your information for any other purpose, we will obtain your consent before using the information. Your participation in the Contest is your express consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

We may store your information in electronic databases or e-mail boxes hosted by us or our service providers, for periods of time and with safeguards that we believe are reasonable depending on the nature and sensitivity of the information. Examples of this type of information include your Internet protocol (IP) address, the type of Internet browser you are using, the type of computer operating system you are using, and the advertisement or domain name of the website from which you linked to the website.
From time to time Wine Growers Nova Scotia or the NSLC may use third party vendors to assist us in handling the data or providing information that you requested. In those cases, your data may be made available to these third parties solely for the purpose of your request. In all cases where third parties may be able to access your information we will continue to protect it through appropriate confidentiality arrangements.
We only share your personal information with others in the ways explained in this statement. We do not sell or trade this information to other organizations or companies.
