Mercator Vineyards focuses on small lot wines with an emphasis on originality. Made in the vineyard, their wines celebrate the unique coastal effects of the Bay of Fundy. Each varietal has been selected and planted to harmonize with the specific soils, slopes, and microclimates located throughout the estate.

Mercator Vineyards overlooks historic Acadian farmlands that provide breathtaking views. Enjoy wine flights and small bites deckside in the fully-restored 200-year-old farmhouse. Or pack a picnic basket with a selection of pantry fixings and head out on cruising bikes for a meander along the Harvest Moon Trail. Owners Carl and Donna Sparks want you to immerse yourself in the region’s timeless tranquillity and warmth while enjoying some of Nova Scotia’s finest award-winning wines.

Meet the Winemaker
Rebecca Griffin discovered her love for viticulture and wine while travelling and working in New Zealand in 2002. After pursuing a dietetics career, she turned her attention to her true passion and enrolled in the Oenology & Viticulture Program at CCOVI (Brock University). Upon graduating in 2012, she returned to her home province of Nova Scotia and worked under Gina Haverstock at Gaspereau Vineyards as Assistant Winemaker. Rebecca also continued to pursue her wine education by travelling to Chile, Argentina, and California for further experience. Since then, she has focused on creating beautiful wines by growing quality grapes at Mercator and Gaspereau Vineyards. She is delighted to be the Winemaker for Mercator Vineyards and follow her grapes from vine to bottle.
