We’re Growing Nova Scotia,
one vine at a time.

Nova Scotia is fast becoming one of the most exciting wine regions to explore. This attention has resulted in the local wine industry playing a vital role in the growth of Nova Scotia. The farm wine industry creates good quality jobs in both rural and urban Nova Scotia, our wineries and wine regions are world-class tourism destinations that ultimately contribute to a growing and diverse economy.

Wine Growers Nova Scotia represents local farmers, vintners, and the roots in the ground industry that is the wine industry in Nova Scotia. The industry is composed of 20 licensed farm grape wineries, located in seven wine regions across the province that produce more than 211,000 cases or just under 1.9 million litres of wine per year.

By choosing to drink local Nova Scotia wine, you are not only enjoying premier wine but also supporting your local economy. The Nova Scotia wine industry is a significant driver to the Nova Scotia economy, bringing an economic impact of more than $245.2 million annually.

Nova Scotia wineries are proud of their craft and we have begun to establish ourselves as a premier wine destination. And it’s no wonder why –  Nova Scotia’s unique terroir imparts a distinctive character to its wines that is unlike anywhere else in the world and we welcome over 150,000 visitors a year to the wine region and generate $48,867,800 million in tourism revenue.

Our farms and wineries are practicing sustainable agriculture, working to be increasingly diverse and inclusive, and are attracting new visitors and young people to live and build careers in rural Nova Scotia.

By sipping Nova Scotia wine you help us grow
Nova Scotia one vine at a time.
